A well respected and expanding company within the field of World logistics and supply is seeking to employ an Assistant Accountant.
Job Description

The preparation of Accounts for a number of companies and the correlation of documentation on an international basis. The position will involve some International Travel on a regular basis.
Working within a small and dedicated team. Ensuring preparation of accounts to international IAS and IFRS Standards.
Will fill the place of an accounts assistant; with time, if we find him/her good, he/she will be promoted to assistant to the financial controller.
Equal Preference will be given to Maltese and non-Maltese nationals.

Person Specification

 Excellent communication skills.  Ability to work as a member of a team.  Ability to work unsupervised.  Ability to analyse and produce Journal Accounts for a number of Companies.
In depth knowledge of accounting procedures, including consolidation, coupled with good knowledge of IAS  and preferably IFRS would be distinct advantage.  Strong IT financial modelling skills for budgeting, cash flow forecasting and analyses.  Knowledge of shipping and/or aviation industries, experience will be useful. The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified with post qualified experience, preferably in industry. Excellent English Language skills are essential. Spoken and written Russian and Turkish would als be a distinct advantage as would experience of Audit procedures.
