A foreign online LEGO platform is seeking to employ a freelance German/English Speaking LEGO Moderator.
Contract: Freelance, work from home
Start Date: Feb/March 2010

This position includes examining all submitted material from kids and older fans, deciding if it should be approved or rejected for public viewing. It also requires in-game, live moderation and a critical, responsible eye for high priority user reports. More than twenty million individuals visit LEGO.com each month and a large percentage of these will encounter content moderated by the moderation team. Consumer and brand focus are essential to performing this job well.
Key Accountabilities:
Community Moderation (90%)
Either all or combinations of: Daily LEGO Universe in-game moderation, LEGO.com fan-submitted material including uploaded LEGO model images to over 15 different galleries and projects logs, videos, LEGO Club Comics captions, message board postings, LEGO MINDSTORMS projects, LEGO Digital Designer models, such as LEGO DesignbyME.
Reporting (5%)
Help record and report trends that can be reported back to Producers and the larger company.
Administration (5%)
Tool testing, joint team document updating and authoring, and policy and procedure input.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills:
• The successful candidate will have experience working in an online child-focused role.
• Moderation experience is preferred and MMOG experience would be ideal.
• You must have strong overall understanding of ‘kids' Internet space.
• Excellent written, verbal and communication skills (English) are required
• Must be web savvy, including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and able to find solutions to technical issues on own PC.
• You must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• This position would be ideal for someone already familiar with the LEGO product assortment and the company’s values.
• Ability to work weekends and unsocial hours is a requisite for this role.
